Summary:

Responsible for building out and supporting collaboration rooms with a strong focus on Microsoft Teams Room and Cisco Webex platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing MTR's and various Cisco video endpoints, as well as Cisco Call Manager and Webex Cloud Contact Center. The specialist will be responsible for providing support for meetings when required, ensuring that all collaboration rooms are fully functional and ready to use at all times. The specialist should also be able to evaluate, make recommendations on design, and support large and often complex conference rooms that involve equipment manufactured by Crestron, Extron and Biamp.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and support small, medium, and large conference rooms, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary technology and tools to facilitate effective collaboration.
  • Manage MTR's and various Cisco video endpoints, ensuring that they are configured properly and working as expected.
  • Provide support for meetings when required, troubleshooting issues as they arise to ensure that meetings run smoothly and without interruption.
  • Assist with the deployment of new hardware and software, ensuring that all equipment is set up and configured properly.
  • Monitor and maintain all conference room equipment, ensuring that it is kept up to date with the latest software updates and patches.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring that they are comfortable and confident in using the conference room technology.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that collaboration tools and processes are consistent across the organization.
  • 1st level support for Cisco Collaboration applications ex. CUCM, CUC, IM&P, etc.
  • Manage team ticket queue and meet ticket SLA’s.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • At least 3 years of experience in building out and supporting conference rooms, with a focus on Microsoft Teams Room and Cisco Webex platforms.
  • Experience managing MTR's, Cisco video endpoints, and other interfacing equipment manufactured by Crestron, Extron and Biamp.
  • Experience with Cisco Call Manager and Webex Cloud Contact Center.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing white glove service support.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours when required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Technical certifications a plus.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 3-5 year of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

 Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Up to 20% travel required, occasionally including overnight travel.
  • Position is 100% onsite.
