Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

 This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2025. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026.  

Summary

The position requires an individual with technical proficiency, strong communication skills, and a desire to learn the Unbranded FOB Sales business. The role reports to the Manager Unbranded Sales Analytics. This role is an excellent opportunity to learn the aspects of the Unbranded Sales process and develop in a fast-paced environment. This internship will provide exposure to various internal groups and give the successful candidate insight into both the commercial and sales sides of the fuel distribution industry.

Essential Duties

The position will assist in the construction of analytical tools to help provide insights into existing business and assist in the development of new business. This position requires effective use of Sunoco’s core technology programs including Right Angle, DTN TABs, and Excel. Prior experience with Right Angle and DTN TABs is a plus but is not required.

The role will work with various internal groups including:

  • Sales Reps to support all functions of the sales process.
  • Scheduling and Supply to understand cost structure.
  • Data Analytics to automate essential reporting.
  • Others may include Midstream, Supply Optimization, etc.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Provide  backup support & coverage for Unbranded Analytics Analysts when they are out of the office.
  • Ad Hoc requests as determined by the Manager Unbranded Sales Analytics.
Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Currently enrolled in college - we’re open to candidates of all degrees – if you possess the intangibles above and the work sounds intriguing, we can teach you the rest
  • Preferably junior status
  • General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement in activities outside college studies.
  • Above average GPA
  • Distinctive problem solving skills and an intellectual curiosity to solve unique and oftentimes complex problems
  • Strong work ethic and high level of self-motivation and accountability to “get stuff done” – while you’ll receive regular coaching and feedback, we intentionally position our interns to be able to own their work
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with occasionally tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills - familiarity with SQL a plus
