Position Summary:

This role has a current pay range of $64,000 – $71,000. Pricebook Book Specialist is an elevated role from Pricebook coordinators and will oversee day-to-day operations of Pricebook for Hawaii and New Jersey Turnpike operations. This includes managing Pricebook integration with other systems, such as point of sale and accounting systems, and utilizing Pricebook data for reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages communication with Category Managers and Store operations to maintain items in Pricebook such as new item and vendor set up, invoice exceptions, rebate accruals and promotional programs, report and analyze category trends and inventory as needed for Hawaii and New Jersey Turnpike operations.
  • Manage and implement set up and procedures for items in Pricebook and POS system.
    • This includes adding and or changing retail and costs implemented by Category Managers, Product authorization and deauthorization on site/zone level, POS attributes such as taxability and food stamps, and reviewing item data to ensure accuracy and proper formatting.
    • Ensure that weekly reporting is completed and communicated to both the Hawaii and New Jersey Turnpike Teams.
  • Work closely with PDI to troubleshoot any store issues such as non-scanning items, incorrect costs and retails, invoice exceptions and any other necessary corrections through email and or ticketing systems. Instituted best-practice processes for PDI Rebate Manager and Cost Discrepancy tools, eliminating overinflated program accruals and vendor overcharges, ensuring accurate financials
  • Ensure that price book coordinators work with wholesaler’s daily to complete new item setups, future cost changes, and identifying discontinued items. Coordinate routine price book clean up to ensure that discontinued items are removed from the system.
  • Manages and implements new processes to create efficiency within the stores to include APlus services.  
  • Works closely with Accounts Payable department to research line-item invoicing discrepancies such as unauthorized items. Manage price book team to create efficiencies and processes to minimize ongoing issues.

Position Qualifications

Competency Statement(s):

  • 2-5 plus years of Pricebook, Retail or Accounting experience
  • Experience in retail industry with exposure to a retail category structure and retail reporting needs is preferable.
  • High degree of proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
  • Prior experience working with PDI Enterprise, Focal Point, POS systems, retail accounting systems, and Pricebook in a retail environment is preferable.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • PDI experience preferred
  • Microsoft office suite of apps required
