Summary:

Energy Transfer is seeking a Plant Supervisor responsible for day-to-day shift operations at our Alamo Plant. This position is located in Crockett, TX and will oversee/direct up to 14 hourly employees in the operation of a natural gas processing plant, including one cryogenic plant, one amine treating plants, glycol and mole-sieve dehydration systems, product storage, utilities, engines/compressors, centrifugal pumps, and other plant functions, systems, and equipment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises day to day facility operations to meet required production rates and monitors operating data to minimize problems and downtime.
  • Ensures that established regulatory environmental and safety standards are maintained. 
  • Supervises all emergency response activities and decisions relative to the safety of the plant and the surrounding area.
  • Supervises subordinates in performing their job duties in a safe and efficient manner. Administers performance reviews for subordinates and administers disciplinary action when warranted. 
  • Ensures all departmental manuals are kept current. 
  • Develops and administers training courses pertinent to Operations to ensure personnel qualifications are maintained to comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and maintains operational procedures to ensure a safe and efficient operation.  Ensures operating parameters are within the limits of the design of the equipment.     

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years industry experience required for this position.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Basic computer use skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  •       Usually, normal office working conditions.
  •       Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 
  •       Occasional overnight travel may be required. 
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record 
  •       Frequent visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment. Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
