Position Summary:
The Area Field Coordinator is responsible for performing and overseeing a wide range of administrative activities. These may include but are not limited to duties surrounding field administrative operations and project management administrative support:
- This position will be assigned specific oversight responsibilities for the entire Area and will be expected to become the liaison to all locations within the Area. Position may be located in Overland Park or Liberal Kansas depending on the successful candidate's location.
Primary Duties:
The Field Coordinator performs a variety of duties which include:
- Generate an annual operations budget and perform monthly cost control analysis.
- Assist with the preparation/monitoring of O&M and Capital projects.
- Assist with contractual and/or service agreements and associated work offers.
- Process invoices as they relate to operations and projects.
- Work directly with vendors/contractors to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Cost control analysis and forecasting
- Assist with project completion documentation.
- Time reporting and associated reporting.
- Prepare and process bargaining unit employee purchase card statements and out-of-pocket expenses and per diems.
- Conduct training with field employees in the utilization of computer applications.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are:

A High School Diploma or equivalent.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or additional equivalent related experience preferred.

Two to four years of analytical experience, preferably in the gas transmission industry, in cost or budget analysis.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in all Microsoft software.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with all levels of organization.
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
- Normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional visits to settings which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, requiring appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work overtime on short notice.
- Some travel and overnight stay may be required.
