Summary:

The Business Optimization group drives enterprise-wide alignment and efficiency through strategic program support and data-driven decision-making. Within this group, the Enterprise Data Programs workstream focuses on enhancing data quality, governance, and operational effectiveness. The Project Analyst – Data Programs will play a key role in supporting and coordinating data-related initiatives, managing project documentation, analyzing enterprise data assets, and developing metrics to track progress. This role requires strong collaboration with business stakeholders, IT, and program teams to ensure successful delivery of data initiatives and continuous improvement of enterprise data practices. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Data Program in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Enterprise Data Programs
  • Coordinate and track multiple data-related projects or initiatives simultaneously, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful delivery of program deliverables
  • Create, manage, and track project/team documentation, including, but not limited to meeting deliverables, project plans, and process documentation
  • Analyze enterprise data assets to identify key attributes, relationships, and opportunities for improved data quality and governance
  • Develop a strong understanding of asset hierarchies and apply business acumen to support data structuring and classification efforts
  • Assists in monitoring metrics that drive efficiency for both the data team and stakeholder groups
  • Leverage technology and tools to streamline processes, enhance data workflows, and reduce operational costs.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area
  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers as well as all levels of management
  • Able to set and conduct management routines to keep teams on track with established, aggressive timelines
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead  Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience functioning in a Data Program, Data Governance or Master Data Management function
  • Prior work with within the oil & gas industry would be a plus, not required. 
  • Experience working in a Data Program, and knowledge of enterprise processes and guidelines
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management applications would be a plus
 
Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
