Summary:

 

The Analyst-Business Development’s key responsibilities include supporting the Business Development team and will be responsible for researching, analyzing, modeling future growth opportunities, and preparing presentation for management. As a member of the Business Development team, responsibilities will include identifying revenue enhancing opportunities for our NGL and Refined Products Assets. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·         Create detailed economic models to assess deals, including optimization options, synergy capture, and capital needs.

·         Conduct Market analysis for potential targets including competitive behavior and alternative strategies.

·         Conducts “due diligence for potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

·         Prepare analysis and presentation of business cases for proposed projects to present to the Business Development team.

·         Analyze statistics on facility usage and revenue generation to ensure optimal usage of terminal and pipeline assets.

·         Support Business Development managing customer relationships.

·         Identify new customers to form strategic partnerships and business alliances.

·         Maintain detailed knowledge of the customer contracts to assist the customer and operations in ensuring adherence to the terms.

·         Support internal customers including engineering, operations, finance and accounting.

·         Assists with budgetary development and preparation efforts.

·         Overnight travel may be required

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance or Business Administration

·         Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication, and computer related skills (MS Word, Excel & Power Point) including SAP, preferred.

·         The ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively

Preferred Experience:

·         Budget preparation & forecasting analysis.

·         The ability to develop various ad hoc management reports.

·         Strong Math Skills.

·         Working Conditions:

·         Usually, normal office working conditions.

·         Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

·         Overnight travel may be required

 Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
 
Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
