Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
  • Strong interpersonal skills required, including exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and capable of learning new programs quickly.
  • An understanding of FlowCal or equivalent measurement system.
  • Exposure to ESRI and/or other GIS products.
  • Experience with SAP and an understanding of the FERC Chart of Accounts under 18 CFR Parts 201, 351 and 352 or other accounting principles.
  • Exposure to natural gas operations and scheduling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of oil and gas regulations in Louisiana and Texas strongly preferred; experience with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and other state regulatory agencies desired.
  • Relevant experience in midstream natural gas and common carrier industry.
  • Experience and understanding of natural gas gathering and transportation contracts and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Section 311 natural gas reporting requirements and regulations preferred.
  • Aggressive research ability required.
  • Ability to think proactively, multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet critical deadlines.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to resolve non-routine issues independently.
  • Possess a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, ability to work effectively with changing priorities.
  • Adhere to high ethical standards, function effectively as a team player and lead others to do the same.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Four year degree preferred or industry experience will be considered)
  • Two to five years of relevant work experience.
     
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  1. Usually, normal office working conditions.
  2. However, peak compliance reporting season (January-April) will sometimes require a flexible work schedule.
  3. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  4. Occasional overnight travel will be required.
  5. Occasional visits to pipeline and related facilities which may include an awareness of operational safety requirements as well as exposure to extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
