Energy Transfer Partners is a master limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States. In total, the Company owns and operates approximately 84,000 miles of natural gas, crude oil, refined products, and natural gas liquids pipelines, terminals, and acquisition and marketing assets which are used to facilitate the purchase and sale of crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and refined products.


Summary:

·    Working at compressor stations and processing facilities, analyzing different makes and models of reciprocating compressor, generators, pumps and associated equipment.

·    Support the company’s engine reliability program, as well as the performance testing program to develop horsepower curves and optimize horsepower utilization.

·    Perform basic operations and maintenance tasks necessary to operate compressor station assets in a safe, reliable, and regulatory compliant manner.

·    Effectively uses hand, power, and specialty tools such as Windrock analyzer.

·    Maintain records for required state, federal, and company procedures.

·    Utilize computers and e-mail for internal and external communication, record keeping, on-line reporting, material and supply ordering, and filing/maintenance of various forms & records.

·    Actively contributes and supports the training of other members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:

·    Computer and basic office software experience as well as a strong background in the natural gas industry.

·    Caterpillar GCM, 3600 A4/A3, 3500 engine and Ariel compressor experience.

·    Effective written & verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative, self-directed team environment that includes shared responsibilities, establishing & maintaining good working relationships with others, to support location & company objectives.

·    Exhibit a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and willingness to accept constantly changing priorities.

·    Experience with data collecting equipment, i.e. Windrock, Dynalco, etc.

·    Experience with Cat natural gas engines and Ariel compressors.

·    Good communicator and work planner with excellent work ethics.

·    Physical abilities required to perform the essential elements of the position including heavy lifting, working in high and low temperatures and general manual labor.

·    Must have a valid Driver’s License.

·    Must reside within 40 miles of the reporting work location.


Required education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

 

  • Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level B requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience


Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Driving, walking, standing frequently
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
    Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
