Essential Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training Required
•High School Diploma/GED
•Has at least 3 years of experience of practical, mechanical experience working on rotating equipment
•Proven experience with Caterpillar, Waukesha and White Superior engines, Ariel and Superior compressors.
•Proven experience with various pumps, fans and motor repairs Including repair, alignment and replacement
•Ability to assume & perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions
•Have knowledge of safety rules and practices and a very good safety record.
•Have proven mechanical aptitude and make decisions and corrections when problems are detected.
•Good organizational skills, good customer relations skills, and a record of very positive work performance.
•Proven knowledge of plant safety and operation
•Read and understand repair manuals, procedures and standards
•Maintain and adhere to required Company Trainings, Company Policies, and Procedures
•Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills:
•Ability to work with minimal supervision
•Computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications preferred
•Work well with others and also be able to perform work independently.
•Ability to train other employees.
Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:
•Must have good driving record
•Dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment
•Working extended hours as required in emergencies, on projects or outages
•This position will require overtime, weekends, nights, holidays and on call schedule
Physical Requirements
• Standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, frequent heavy lifting over 75 pounds.
• Repetitively standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, frequent lifting heavy equipment
• Climb ladders up to 25 feet
• Dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment
• Walk on uneven terrain
• Work in hot/cold temperature extremes for long periods of time
