In this role the Analysts will be a part of the Financial Planning and Analysis group and will perform the analysis, budgeting, and forecasting of Energy Transfer’s natural gas liquids operations.  This candidate will need the ability to operate in a fast paced, collaborative environment and will work closely with our Accounting, Operations, and Commercial groups.  This position requires strong analytical, verbal, and written skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of the annual budget.
  • Prepare and update the long-term forecast periodically throughout the year.
  • Prepare a monthly detailed results package that is presented to financial and commercial leadership.  Performance of this function will require this position to maintain an effective relationship with the accounting, commercial, and operational groups within the segment.
  • Preparation of the Management Discussion and Analysis for inclusion in our earnings release, 10-Q, 10-K, and other external financial reporting filings.
  • Preparation of quarterly analysis reporting package that is presented to financial, commercial, and operational leadership in preparation for our quarterly earnings call.
  • Assist our Corporate FP&A group in the preparation of presentations to investors and ratings agencies by providing requested financial and operational information.


Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, accounting, or related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organized with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.
Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
