Summary:
The HRIS Manager – Global Systems and Strategy is responsible for leading PeopleSoft HCM’s operations—focusing on Payroll, Benefits Administration, and General Ledger—while also spearheading the Workday transformation. This role shapes HR system strategy, ensures regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and manages a high-performing team in a fast-paced, global, and acquisition-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- PeopleSoft HCM Leadership: Own configuration for Payroll, Benefits, GL, and Compensation; oversee PeopleSoft upgrades and regulatory changes.
- Workday Implementation: Plan and lead configuration, testing, data mapping, and deployment for the transitioning system while ensuring global, multilingual functionality.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to SOX, HIPAA, ACA, GDPR, and international labor and tax laws; maintain detailed SOPs, logs, and audit trails.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Guide projects involving HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, and Talent; support M&A integrations and global rollouts.
- Team Development & Process Improvement: Mentor HRIS analysts and identify opportunities for automation and workflow enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience.
- 15 years in HRIS with 10+ years managing PeopleSoft HCM focusing on Payroll, Benefits, and GL preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or senior project delivery role within a large, complex organization.
- Proven track record with multiple HCM implementations (including Workday and international/multilingual rollouts).
- Deep expertise in U.S. payroll, benefits administration, compliance reporting, and cross-functional project management.
- Bachelor’s degree required; PMP and relevant PeopleSoft/Workday certifications are highly preferred.
Preferred Background:
- Experience operating within global organizations (10,000+ employees) and managing multi-jurisdiction payroll and benefits.
- Familiarity with scaling systems through M&A, divestitures, or rapid international expansion, along with exposure to integration platforms like ADP, Equifax, Taleo, and FileNet.
Work Environment: This is a 100% onsite position based in the Houston corporate office, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
