Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a security related field, criminal justice or business administration or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years’ experience as a security professional or related police military service occupation or equivalent private sector leadership experience 
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant practices, laws and regulations that govern the protection of physical assets
  • Experience in managing a workplace violence protection and response program
  • Demonstrated advanced pistol and rifle, personal protection, and defensive tactics proficiencies.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing MS Office Suites
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills, a must.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving and leadership skills.
  • Must be team oriented including as well as the ability to work independently and in a matrix organization.
  • Resilient personality and work well under pressure in a fast pace environment.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing environment and work independently and as part of a team on multiple initiatives and stand-alone projects with limited direction.
  • Creative self-starter who possesses excellent project management skills, and who has a strong sense of focus, organization, meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to guide others to deliver outstanding results in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a data driven analytical approach towards solving complex challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • Board Certified Protection Professional
  • Ability to obtain and possess a Texas Private Protective Board Level 4 license
  • Close protection or executive protection experience in a dignitary or diplomatic environment
  • EMT/Advanced First Aid/CPR.
  • DHS classified security clearance, and ability to attain and maintain other government clearance.

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
