- Level C requires a minimum of 0 – 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
- Level B requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
- Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain HAZWOPER Certification.
- Obtain FEMA ICS Certification.
- Able to climb stairs for gauging and sampling of storage tanks.
- Aptitude for working in a lab environment by performing basic petroleum tests.
- Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, which include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass fitness test for respirator.
- Skills required to safely operate motorized equipment in the field.
- Work flexible hours, work rotating shifts and be available to work overtime hours.
- Subject to 24/7 call out as required, must be able to respond for off duty call outs within 45 minutes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Independent decision making.
- Problem solving capability.
- Analytical skills - metering trends and trouble shooting.
- Aptitude for basic math skills.
- Team orientated worker.
- Attention to detail and ability to make sound and logical decisions.
- Above average computer skills.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Prior industry experience in pipeline or crude storage operations.
- Experience in Crude Oil lab analysis per ASTM standards.
- Prior experience in rail loading operations
- Crude safety credentials to include OSHA 30 1, First Aid and CPR.
- Incipient fire response training
- Basic spill response training
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and climb 6 flights of stairs several times daily.
- Willing and able to work outdoors as required in extreme winter conditions.
- Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, kneel and reach with hands and arms.
- Subject to callouts to respond to operational issues and emergencies after working hours, at night, and on weekends and holidays
- Reliable attendance at work
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
