Summary:
This position will support the Allegro Horizon gas marketing and risk system. The job candidate will interact with key stakeholders in the company, making key IT development solutions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, testing and implementation of software systems
  • Provide system analysis, reconciliation, and support of gas marketing and risk systems
  • Extracts and analyzes data, provides queries, data files and reports to satisfy business requirements
  • Troubleshoot application issues and create custom solutions where appropriate
  • Maintain/create database interfaces, views, stored procedures and reporting solutions
  • Properly manage/maintain source code/control changes
     

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  •  Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems or related field or additional equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of working experience with Allegro software solutions.  Specific working/ tier 1 support experience in Allegro Horizon is required, in addition to developing custom extensions and solutions. 
  • Solid understanding of natural gas trading lifecycle for both physical and financial markets (Trade to Cash process).
  • At least 5-7 years of Microsoft T-SQL and/or Oracle PL/SQL development experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SSRS and/or Crystal Reports 
  • Experience with Microsoft VSTS/Azure DevOps, TFS or GIT

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Senior IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
  • The Principal IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years of relevant job related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP Business Objects
  • Experience with Quorum QPTM module
  • Experience in BI tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerPivot)

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
