Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- 8+ years of demonstrated responsible project management experience and a working knowledge of API 650, 653, DOT Part 195 regulations and/or experience with tank construction or maintenance.
- A working knowledge of procedures for tank repairs such as tank cleaning, welding, material selection and application or be capable of quickly learning procedures as identified in API standards and practices, relating to aboveground storage tanks
- Strong PC skills and demonstrate leadership characteristics.
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills and be capable of effectively interfacing with all levels of management, field personnel, and professionals.
- A customer focused attitude and demonstrate the ability to function as a team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
- API 653 Certification
- BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering including a broad experience and in-depth knowledge related to pipeline and terminal facilities.
- Prior experience with construction of API 650 storage tanks.
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Travel will be required to visit job sites from time-to-time. Some may be overnight.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
- On occasion, support will require work after hours, on weekends and holidays.
