Essential Requirements:
  • Two year technical degree in electronic circuits and PLC programming or higher
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with the Emerson DeltaV control system.
  • A minimum 3 to 5 years working with and programming PLC’s
  • Knowledge of Cryo Plant controls and advanced controls a plus.
  • Ability to program PLC ladder Logic.
  • Must have experience with instrumentation basics and HART communications.
  • Must have experience with MODBUS
  • Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel applications.
  • Intimately familiar with failsafe Emergency Shutdown Systems and equipment protection fundamentals.
  • Must be organized and methodical in diagnosing equipment and controls related problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact with all levels of management and non-management personnel. As a Company representative, the incumbent also interfaces with outside regulatory agencies, customers, contractors, and industry counterparts.
Preferred Skills
  • Personal skills necessary to maintain a good rapport with internal and external customers.
  • Engineering degree helpful but not required.
  • Must be able to travel as needed. Predicted 50% travel.
  • Must be able to work in physically and mentally challenging environments.
  • Must be able to manage constantly changing priorities.
Physical requirements:
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Driving, walking, standing frequently
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various types of inclement weather conditions.
