This position will be responsible for providing Measurement support to internal customers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:

 

 

  • Ensure Integrity of Measurement Data from field origin device(s) to Flow Cal Liquids Application for all liquid transportation methods (end to end)

  • Ensure Integrity of Measurement Data from external origin systems(s) to Flow Cal Liquids Application for all liquid transportation methods, commodities, and/or quality related imports  (end to end)

  • Flow Computer Configurations development, testing, version(s) and field deployment

  • Flow Computer Archive development, testing, version(s) and field deployment

  • Flow Cal Liquids Application System – Responsible for Application, System(s), Product(s), Meter(s) and LQ source, setup and configuration(s)

  • Flow Cal Liquids Application System – Ensure proper setup and configurations of Balance Segments/Sectors and/or Pipeline measurement Systems

  • Flow Cal Liquids Application – Responsible for generation of Flow Computer and Meter ID assignments, while maintaining unique identification process

  • Flow Cal Pyc-it/Prove-it Application – Testing of new released application version(s) and coordination of Server upgrade and field deployments

  • Flow Cal Pyc-it/Prove-it Application – Responsible for initial System(s), areas, regions, Meter(s), security access, setup and configuration(s)

  • Flow Cal Pyc-it/Prove-it Application – Responsible for Meter Factor Variance and Trending Reporting

  • Flow Cal Pyc-it/Prove-it Application – Support Field technicians with issues related to uploading or downloading Pyc-it/Prove-it data file

  • Provides direction, support, guidance and training to Measurement Analysts

  • Provide Material Balance, (L&U, G/L, O/S) support for all assets, commodities, systems, sectors and facilities as defined within the Flow Cal Liquids Application

  • Utilize SCADA systems to review, troubleshoot and/or trend abnormal or unexplained events, which impact Measurement Data results

  • PC skills including Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel

  • Work independently with minimal supervision

 

 Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

   

  • High school diploma or general equivalency, some college or technical trade school preferred
  • Must possess excellent math skills

Experience:

  • 6+ years of related experience

  • Proficient in Measurement Design Review and Equipment Requirements

  • Proficient in Flow Cal Liquids Application setup, configurations and system balances
  • Proficient in Prove-it/Pyc-it/Test-it applications, (Server and standalone applications)
  • Proficient in Statistical Meter Factor tracking and trending
  • Proficient in Flow Computer Setup, Configurations and Archive Structures, (OMNI, ROC, SPIRIT, DYNAMIC, etc.)
  • Proficient in analyzing, and the Integration of, Third Party Equipment
  • Proficient knowledge of Flow Cal file formats and import processes
  • Working knowledge of, (including software troubleshooting), meter performance verifications using portable and/or stationary provers
  • Working knowledge of, (including software troubleshooting), meter density/API Gravity verifications using a Pycnometer and/or Hydrometer
  • Working knowledge of calibrations, inspections and maintenance of all instrumentation related to quality and quantity determination.
  • Working knowledge of the operations of custody transfer measurement facilities in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Working knowledge in the operations of, troubleshooting of, and repair of, measurement equipment, including; Meters, stationary & portable provers, samplers, flow computers and other peripheral measurement-related devices
  • Working knowledge of Measurement Instrumentation Specifications and Design
  • Working knowledge of Terminal Automation System(s) database structure
  • Working knowledge of Laboratory Management System(s) database structure
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Network Configuration and Design
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Control System Design
  • Working knowledge and understanding of SCADA System Design
  • Working knowledge and field assistance with asset Commissioning and Start-Up
  • Detailed knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA, API, GPA and ASTM requirements and procedures

Working Conditions


 

  • Exposure to hazardous conditions, adverse weather, cramped conditions.

  • Some heavy lifting required.

  • Walk, stand, kneel/stoop and drive for extended periods.

  • Subject to 24 hour call out 7 days per week with possible extended workdays

  • Must have a proven safe driving record
