Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related degree preferred; and
  • 5+ years’ experience required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Team player with a proactive, positive attitude and a strong sense of self-motivation, accountability and responsibility;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Extreme accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to quickly understand concepts and think through possible solutions and implications;
  • Basic understanding of applicable GAAP and Internal Revenue Code sections that apply to fixed and intangible assets; and
  • Strong tax research skills using various tax services and sources such as CCH, RIA, BNA, etc.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required;
  • Knowledge of corporate or partnership tax preparation software packages (OneSource IT, OneSource IT Express, GoRs, etc.) is desirable; and
  • Experience with SAP is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  CPA certification or eligibility preferred

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions. 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required. 

  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
