Summary:
The Sr. Manager – Marketing & Business Development, reports to the Executive Account Manager, Marketing & Business Development. The incumbent is responsible for:
· Marketing transportation and storage capacity on interstate assets including Panhandle Eastern Pipeline, Trunkline Gas Pipeline, Rover Pipeline, Mississippi River Transmission, Sea Robin Pipeline, and Stingray Pipeline. Special emphasis will include area in the Midwest and Gulf Coast
· Actively engaging in Business Development opportunities to attach new supply and/or new demand markets on the affected assets. Incumbent will be expected to leverage internal and external representatives to explore new opportunities outside of the asset footprint and may involve working with different management groups to achieve new prospective business
· Revenue generation on multiple assets
· Managing day-to-day activities related to the interstate assets. Incumbent will be expected to actively interact with customers to assist in the continued operation of interstate assets under all conditions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Revenue generation by marketing transportation and storage capacity across interstate footprint
· Develop new business including new supply and demand markets on the assets to enhance system marketability including opportunities outside of current asset footprint
· Responsible for developing new projects and negotiating terms and conditions for services
· Interacts with external customers, including producers, producer-marketers, pipelines, and end users and with a wide range of internal departments
· Initiates projects and works closely with the project manager, engineers, construction managers and field operations superintendents throughout the project development process. Coordinates the efforts of these internal personnel with producers, end user markets, gathering and pipeline companies’ engineering and commercial development personnel
· Maintains extensive industry relationships to facilitate effective system marketability and competitiveness
· Pursues alternative strategies to meet company’s strategic plans and continuously monitors numerous dynamic competitive forces to enhance the company’s ability to compete for supply and market access
Requirements:
· Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
· Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 7 years in marketing/commercial development
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, Accounting, or Marketing or additional equivalent related experience.
· Candidate must have experience in developing business strategies, problem solving, decision making, negotiation and management
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
· Usually, normal office working conditions.
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
· Occasional overnight travel will be required.
· Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
