Billing Analyst
Summary:
Provides accounting knowledge to enter transactions, generate reports, gather financial information, and perform analysis based on specific tasks. Perform a variety of regular and recurring Sunoco LP revenue and accounting functions, including but not limited to:
- Analyzes all billing procedures
- Ensures that all billing calculations are correct before sending invoices to customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments as well as external customers.
- Research and respond to billing inquires within established turnaround times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves customers by maintaining our philosophy of going above and beyond, supported by a value proposition that every situation will be handled in a timely manner.
- Analyze and complete all non-billed request within the accounting system.
- Complete credit and rebills in a timely manner.
- Maintain non-inventory billings.
- Assist the other departments as needed.
· Other various duties as assigned.
· Ensure compliance with SOX controls.
Required Skills Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree and 0-2 years of related experience.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially with Word, Excel, and Outlook).
· Strong communication, critical thinking and data analysis skills required.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, work independently and within a team environment.
· Must be flexible, adaptable and have a high level of initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
· Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and SAP experience is preferred.
· Detail Oriented
· Resourceful – Versatile and flexible in responding to business priorities.
· Analytical Skills – Read and understand financial and other business reports; draw conclusions from decision- making.
· Solutions Oriented – Comprehend and understand stakeholder needs; translate into personal accountability and deliverables.
· Drive for Results – Focused commitment to continually compete against a standard of excellence.
