Provides varied and complex management and/or operational analysis, reports and recommendations in support of business/departmental programs.  Performs various evaluations, controls, and calculations to produce, support, and maintain data system integrity.  Integrates and compiles data into quantifiable summaries, models, and forecasts for development, review, and approval of action plans.  Develops recommendations to improve operational processes based on analysis. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Create, utilize, and analyze various reports and models that require an understanding of the natural gas midstream business (gathering, compression, processing, transportation, etc.), to produce results used by operations to make effective production optimization decisions.
  • Synthesize data and analysis into high-level presentations for management and senior management.
  • Research and identify areas for analysis; contributes to production of summary analysis and presentation to department or executive leadership.
  • Lead or provide input to system and/or process design and configuration.
  • Serve as a source of expertise on reporting systems and data sources.
  • Collaborate with department management and recommend specific actions in response to analysis, follow-up on recommended action plans.

Minimum Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Associate Analyst – 0 – 2 years of related experience
  • Analyst – 2 - 5 years related experience
  • Sr Analyst – 5 - 8 years of related experience
  • MBA or other professional certificates/advanced degrees, particularly related to mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or quantitative disciplines are preferred.

  

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

·         Ability to distill complex data into concise and easily understood concepts and recommendations.

·         Good quantitative modeling skills.

·         Good understanding of statistical modeling and simulation.

·         Good understanding of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, probabilities, statistical tests etc.)

·         Experience with one or more programming languages (SQL, Python, R etc.) to extract and manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

·         Strong analytical skills and experience; ability to recognize, analyze and solve complex problems.

·         Ability to distill data and analysis into high-level reports and summaries.

·         Ability to discern data inaccuracies through technical experience and knowledge.

·         Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.

·         Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

·         Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
