Health and Safety Specialist
Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

Position Summary:
Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations policies and procedures concerning health and safety through education, training and auditing. Accountable for administering the health & safety program, with policy and procedural development, implementing, managing and recommending improvements of the safety program for optimum results. Provide operations safety support on projects and day to day operations as needed.
Position Accountabilities:
· Conducts OSHA compliance audits and safety field audits (safe work permit, lockout/tag out, fall protection, etc.).
· Conducts Hazard Recognition Audits.
· Provides technical assistance to regional personnel on safety and fire protection issues.
· Maintains safety training records as needed.
· Participates in emergency response activities.
· Provides guidance and/or assistance in surveying, investigating, and purchasing safety equipment; may order health & safety related equipment.
· Implements the overall safety program in a manner that will improve all employee participation in achieving more conscientious control of all safety/health related work activities.
· Works with Operations to implement new or revised safety policies, procedures, manuals, and related written safety/health materials and communications.
· Works with all on-site personnel to solve and implement corrections of safety problems and to improve safety effectiveness.
· Assists contractors with safety/safe work practices.
· Conducts or assists with incident, injury and loss reporting.
· Ensures compliance with all applicable governmental and industry safety standards.
· Conducts training on new or revised corporate policies and/or procedures.
· Conducts incident investigations as needed.
Education Requirement:
· Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred; specialization in Safety or related science preferred; equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
· Additional specialized or technical courses and/or training preferred.
Experience Requirement:
· Five years of safety experience required. Experience in Pipelines, Terminals, or Petroleum Refineries preferred.
· Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal interaction skills.
· High awareness of time management and organizational skills.
· Exhibit flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
· Travel 25% required.
· Must be able to be on call.
