Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in in electrical, electronic, instrument control or related engineering discipline, P.E. license a plus
- 5+ yrs. applicable industry experience
- Title conferred will be based on candidates’ years of relevant experience.
- Direct experience working for a third-party engineering firm is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of industry safety practices and relevant codes in the Electric and Power disciplines (NEC, NFPA 70E, Low Voltage <5Kv, Medium Voltage 5kv-15kv).
- Knowledge in design of power system facilities and equipment and construction, operation, and maintenance of electric power generating, receiving, and distribution stations, transmission lines, and distribution systems and equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills; good organizational skills.
- Experience developing piping, instrument, and electrical diagrams.
- Proficient with applicable technical software (Navisworks, BlueBeam, etc.),
- Proficient in use of MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, etc).
- Fast paced environment – must be able to support multiple projects concurrently.
- Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The Engineer level requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 3-6 years of relevant job related experience
- The Senior Engineer level requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 6-10 years of relevant job related experience
- The Staff Engineer level requires Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 10+ years of relevant job related experience
- The Principal Engineer level requires Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 12+ years of relevant job related experience with a strong preference for a PE license
- Normal office working conditions.
- Occasional overnight travel and site visits may be required.
