Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

    • Experience in right of way, real estate and/or related legal industry with a working knowledge of pipeline Right of Way agreements and related real estate transactions, practices, and documentation related to the transportation and storage of hydrocarbons.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Ability to read, understand and prepare technical documents, including easements, leases, licenses, maps and drawings, etc.
    • Ability to enter, maintain and retrieve ROW records from land databases quickly and accurately
    • Ability to research property and asset ownership through county real property, district and county court, and Secretary of State records 
    • Possess analytical ability and judgment to determine land rights
    • Knowledgeable of real estate principals, rules and regulations pertaining to ownership and ROW acquisition
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint) and database applications such as SAP, CLSLiNK, Quorum, Landworks or equivalent.
    • A self-starter who will take initiative and who works well with minimum supervision.
    • Must be able to work within a team environment to accomplish organizational goals with the ability to meet priorities and deadlines.
    • Basic understanding of the Texas RRC and FERC requirements as they relate to the transportation and storage of hydrocarbons
    • Ability to multitask
    • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and sensitivity when managing confidential information.
    • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
