Sr Director, Terminal Business Development
Description
The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the department responsible for sourcing, identifying and delivering opportunities to create and/or enhance the profitability of Sunoco LP’s existing Terminal business as well as activities that will grow the business into new geographies and product lines. This includes identifying capital projects, customer acquisition and M&A activity. In particular, the successful candidate will:
· Manage and develop a team to handle all commercial activities for the Terminals organization.
· Cultivate existing customer relationships and identify new ones.
· Develop a repour with the operations team to resolve day to day customer issues and work collaboratively on asset projects that facilitate growth.
· Source, analyze, perform due diligence, and lead negotiations of business acquisition opportunities, and mentor the team to do the same.
· Identify, analyze and recommend new business opportunities to generate additional revenue and maximize utilization of existing manufacturing, storage, terminal, and truck loading/unloading facilities.
· Identify revenue opportunities for existing assets and generate business plans and/or capital projects to deliver revenue growth.
· Develop capital, revenue, and expense projections for capital projects, assess capacity utilization, and perform economic evaluation of projects.
· Identify acquisition opportunities and work with the M&A team to model and perform due diligence.
· Lead integration activities for midstream acquisitions.
Requirements
BS degree in Finance/Business/Engineering or other related discipline
15+ years in US petroleum fuels business
Overall understanding of the US Refined Products business including supply, trading, logistics and operations.
Proficiency in financial modeling of capital projects and acquisition targets
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proven negotiation skills
Demonstrated leadership capability.
