Sr Manager - Terminal Operations
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent terminal supervision experience.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience leading teams in terminal operations, product quality oversight, inventory management, maintenance procedures and employee performance goals.
- An excellent Customer Service mindset and able to communicate with various levels within the organization including: Engineering, Business Development, and Scheduling.
- A minimum 7 - 10 years of leadership experience with in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Knowledge of industry safety practices and relevant codes.
- The ability to develop and present multiple alternatives to an individual problem or situation.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills; good organizational skills.
- Must possess excellent computer analytical skills, (Microsoft Office: WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, ACCESS, MS Project, etc.) SAP , a plus.
- Must be a strong team leader as well as an active team member.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of marine dock operations, truck and rail transport loading and unloading operations, and pipeline operations, preferred.
- Knowledge of company procedures and policies, a plus.
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
- Usually, normal office working conditions
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing
- Overnight travel may be required to support business and geography.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
