Are you a creative and results-oriented person that enjoys challenges? The Sr. Marketing Specialist is an important role supporting the development and execution of an exciting innovation strategy for the SunocoLP brand. This individual will be highly involved with evaluating and commercializing various new products and services within the convenience store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of new C-Store food service solutions for franchisee partners. Assist in the creation of strategic marketing plans and sales presentations by providing data analysis and presentation content
  • Manage the process of commercializing new products/services by analyzing requirements; managing project timelines, budgets and execution plans; and performing and presenting post-program ROI analyses
  • Research new product and service concepts by analyzing requirements, developing ROI analyses and coordinating with cross functional partners. Manage the process for evaluating future new product and service offerings.
  • Support the development of product economics by utilizing market research data and reviewing costs
  • Administrate select SunocoLP marketing programs to deliver against revenue objectives
  • Manage project budgets including developing a budget tracker, requesting and processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner, and reporting on budget utilization. Ensure the team adheres to approved budgets
  • Analyze program data and develop business trackers to evaluate performance vs corporate objectives. Translate data into business learnings and recommendations
  • Maintain an external mindset, including assessing consumer, competitive, market/industry and macroeconomic trends to inform future opportunities. Monitor existing client base, competitors and industry developments. Share learnings with the broader NPD and Marketing teams
  • Provide management updates by helping prepare short-term and long-term product income forecasts and special reports and analyses
  • Develop professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • 5 years of marketing and/or project management experience including data analysis, working with marketing agencies and vendors, managing timelines and gaining internal alignment
  • Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally and with partners. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Experience analyzing and translating data into insights to inform program development
  • Expertise using Excel for analysis, pivot tables, etc. and PowerPoint for presentations. Creative and digital expertise a plus but not required (Photoshop; video; etc)
  • High degree of attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to manage multiple products and shifting priorities; comfortable with ambiguity
