This position will support the New Product Development team in developing and executing an exciting and innovative new product and service strategy across Sunoco LP. The Sr. Marketing Specialist will be an integral part of the team. The role will help develop products and services through analytical support and management of projects, requirements, specifications, timelines and launch plans.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of plans for new products/services to offer business-to-business (B2B) customers and retail consumers. Support the development of new product/service strategic plans and sales presentations by providing data analysis and supporting content
  • Manage the process of bringing new products/services to market by analyzing proposed requirements and development programs; performing and presenting post-program return-on-investment analyses, and managing project timelines, budgets and tactical execution plans
  • Create and share trackers to evaluate program performance to date and vs. plan objectives. Translate data into business learnings and recommendations
  • Administrate select Sunoco LP programs to deliver against revenue objectives
  • Maintain an external mindset, including assessing consumer, competitive, market/industry and macroeconomic trends to determine customer needs and presenting to the broader NPD and Marketing teams. Research and monitor existing client base, competitors and industry developments and identifies potential new product opportunities
  • Research new product and service ideas by analyzing requirements, developing ROI analyses and coordinating with cross functional partners. Manage the process for evaluating future new product and service offerings
  • Develop professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks
  • Manage project budgets including developing a budget tracker, requesting and processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner, and reporting on budget utilization. Ensure the team adheres to approved budgets
  • Support the development of product economics by utilizing market research data and reviewing costs
  • Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product income forecasts and special reports and analyses
  • Research and provide source data for product line communication recommendations by defining product marketing communication objectives

Candidate Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years of marketing and/or program management experience including data analysis, providing direction and feedback to agencies and vendors, managing timelines and gaining internal alignment
  • Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally and with partners. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Experience leveraging insights to inform program development
  • Expertise using Excel for analysis, pivot tables, etc. and PowerPoint for presentations. Creative and digital expertise a plus but not required (Photoshop; video; etc)
  • High degree of attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to manage multiple products and shifting priorities; comfortable with ambiguity
