Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

This role has a current pay range of $119,000 – $129,000. The listed pay range represents the company’s good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base rate of pay for this position at the time of this posting. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their work location, qualifications, relevant experience, operational needs, demonstrated performance over time, and internal pay alignment.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for leading terminal operations, overseeing product handling, facility maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. The Supervisor provides daily direction to terminal staff and works to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations across the facility.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Lead terminal operations and personnel to ensure safe, reliable performance
  • Provide coaching, training, and oversight for operators and maintenance staff
  • Manage facility inspections, including security checks and compliance audits
  • Coordinate tank turns, product receipts, and loading operations
  • Support minor construction and upgrade projects within the terminal
  • Maintain accurate records and data in the Terminal Management System (TMS)
  • Respond to incidents and support emergency operations if needed
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and ensure compliance
  • Be available on-call 24/7 for operational support or emergencies

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • HAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Practical training in terminal equipment operations and repairs preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in terminal, fuel distribution, or related operations
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of petroleum products and terminal equipment
  • Experience with operations systems such as TMS, SCADA, or related tools
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with facility maintenance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage a team, and perform under pressure
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and safety-focused

Physical Demands:

This position requires physical fitness and the ability to safely perform routine fieldwork. Employees must be able to:

  • Climb stairs and ladders on aboveground storage tanks for gauging and inspections
  • Carry and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Walk, stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Perform tasks requiring full range of motion, balance, and hand-eye coordination
  • Have normal vision (including depth perception and color differentiation) and hearing to monitor gauges, alarms, and equipment

Work Environment:

Work is performed in both office and industrial terminal settings. Conditions may include:

  • Exposure to petroleum vapors, outdoor weather, and varying temperatures
  • Occasional work around moving equipment, elevated surfaces, and active loading/unloading zones
  • Moderate to high noise levels depending on operational activity
  • Use of standard PPE (e.g., hard hat, FR clothing, hearing protection, gloves, safety glasses) required at all times in the terminal
