Key Business Objectives:

This is a Senior Leadership role within USA Compression reporting to the Regional Vice President.  The position will be responsible for developing new customer relationships, promoting the organization’s ability to exceed its business plan revenue goals within the assigned geographic region.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

New Business Development

·               Prospect for potential new customers within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.

·               Facilitate meetings between customer decision-makers and USAC’s leaders

·               Plan approaches and work with team to develop proposals that speak to the customer’s needs, concerns, and objectives.

·               Participate in pricing the customer’s solutions and service.

·               Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.

·               Use a variety of styles to appropriately persuade or negotiate terms.

·               Present an image that mirrors that of the customer.

Client Retention

·               Present new ideas and enhance existing relationships.

·               Work with technical staff and other sales members meet customer needs.

·               Arrange and participate in internal and external customer debriefs.

·               Provide exceptional communication internally and with customer to provide seamless experience.

Business Development Planning

·               Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.

·               Present to and consult with mid- and senior-level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.

·               Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.

·               Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the USAC’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

Management and Research

·               Submit progress reports to Regional VP as requested.

·               Ensure data is timely and accurately entered and managed within the company’s unit database or other sales management system.

·               Forecast sales targets and ensure goals are met.

·               Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.

·               Ensure all team members positively and professionally represent USAC.

·               Present business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff.

·               Research and develop a thorough understanding of USAC’s people and culture.

·               Understand USAC’s goal and purpose in order to continue enhancing USAC’s performance.

·               Help to identify / recruit personnel to support new business as well as infrastructure

·               Any and all other duties as assigned.

Skills/Capabilities and Education:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or other relatable degree

·         Minimum of 7 years experience in sales and marketing in the natural gas compression industry.

·         Critical thinking and problem solving skills.

·         Strong communication skills written and verbal.

·         Experience in team related organizations and adept at conflict management.

·         Experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.

·         Strong business acumen.

·         Effective utilization and management of human capital.

·         Ability to understand written and verbal communication from the company and supervisor including training, procedures, instructions, etc.

·         Full-time Exempt level position
