Associate Operations Analyst

Energy Transfer LP is one of the largest energy networks transporting natural gas, natural gas liquids, crude oil and refined products through more than 83,000 miles of pipelines spanning the country. We own and operate one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States, with a strategic footprint in all of the major domestic production basins. Our core operations include complementary natural gas midstream, intrastate and interstate transportation and storage assets; crude oil, natural gas liquids (NGL) and refined product transportation and terminalling assets; NGL fractionation; and various acquisition and marketing assets.

 

JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Operations Analyst is responsible for the review and tracking of 150-250 crude run tickets per day transacted by the Lease Acquisition group. The total of these purchases has an average value of $1.875MM to $3.125MM per day. Each operations analyst will be the primary contact for an assigned number of crude carriers. This role ensures that run tickets are submitted timely for monthly accounting close and accurate payment to our operators and counterparties. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with field personnel, crude buyers, and operators directly.

 

Daily/Weekly

  • Validate and reconcile run ticket deliveries to discover missing/duplicate tickets, confirm proper allocation of crude barrels, and volume discrepancies.
  • Audit run ticket data to verify accuracy and ensure timely payment to customers and counterparties
  • Analyze, resolve, and approve exception reporting for assigned carrier tickets.
  • Analyze and resolve operator inquiries including gauging, lease, volume, and crude quality discrepancies.
  • Audit crude driver commissions to verify accuracy and ensure timely submission to partnering payroll department.
  • Identify and correct inaccurate payments to customers and counterparties through detailed research and analysis.
  • Independently make business decisions based on strong knowledge of the lease acquisition business and trucking field operations.
  • Provide timely, clear, and concise communication to internal and external partners to overcome business challenges. Written, verbal, and face-to-face communication may be required.

Monthly

  • Finalize and closeout all daily/weekly/monthly tasks each production month.
  • Entry and reconciliation of additional transaction types as needed (i.e. BuySell, Pipeline, and Accounting Tickets)

Additional

  • Manage carrier relationships and performance. Work with assigned carriers to proactively resolve operational and ticketing issues to ensure accurate and timely payment to operators and counterparties.
  • Quickly adapt to process and system changes.
  • Assist/Lead internal projects as assigned by management.
  • Offer solution-based feedback to enhance business processes and systems.

 

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline

Minimum of 0-2 years in similar roles
