Sunoco LP is a master limited partnership organized in Delaware and headquartered in Dallas, Texas that is a wholesale distributor of motor fuels. It distributes fuel to 5,322 Sunoco-branded gas stations, almost all of which are owned and operated by third parties. The partnership is controlled by Energy Transfer Partners.  

Summary:

Schedulers are supply chain managers in the oil and gas industry. They are responsible for managing inventories at locations that supply fuel products regionally. Schedulers work to achieve a target inventory, which in the industry means identifying the optimal point between meeting customer demand and supplying at the lowest cost to the company based on current market standing.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

As a co-op your primary responsibilities will include:

  •  Schedule pipeline and/or truck movements to meet inventory targets.
  •  Provide Supply & Trading team reports that allow for business optimization.
  • Track volumes of products via pipeline, truck, and waterborne movements
  • Analyze sales trends and adjust product supply to meet projections.
  •  Interact with Trading, Risk, Scheduling, Midstream, Transportation, Sales, and Business Systems teams.
  • Upon completion of the co-op one can expect to have assisted with daily scheduling tasks that will develop strong critical reasoning, problem solving, and data analysis skills. These skills when paired with the use of logistics software and Excel, will enable the co-op to manage specific products and locations.
