Summary:
Sunoco LP employs both internal and external carrier assets to deliver fuel to customer stations across the country. The accurate handling and accounting of the documents associated with these movements ensures that the fuel is invoiced to the correct customer on a timely basis. This position is responsible for reconciling Bills of Lading from the Terminals with orders in the Transportation dispatch system. Ensuring that the customer that is being billed is the same customer that received product is a basic requirement of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

60 | Investigating and correcting discrepancies in bill of lading files. Matches open bill of lading information from terminal to planed movements in Sunoco dispatch systems. Uses a variety of strategies to match such as retrieving driver paperwork and notes, using GPS data from trucks, and looking for similar records for typo errors. |
30 | Obtain lost bill of lading data from third party carriers buy looking on the carrier web site, emailing and calling carriers for help finding the documents, calling the product terminal to obtain a copy of the bill, and keeping a log of actions in trying to reconcile the bill of lading file. |
10 | Summarize data, run reports, send updates internally and externally. Work with internal and external contacts to improve terminal loading data and driver actions. |

Education and/or Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent work experience
- 0-2 years of related experience in Transportation, Accounting, or IT
- Intermediate Excel knowledge
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job:
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to a carrier operation may be required, which could cause exposure to hazardous materials such as combustible, flammable, toxic, carcinogenic and other chemicals.
