Summary:
 

The Field Coordinator is responsible for performing and overseeing a wide range of administrative activities.  These may include but are not limited to duties surrounding Project Management Administrative Support:

  • Assist with the preparation/monitoring of O&M and Capital AFE’s
  • Assist with contractual and/or service agreements and associated work offers
  • Assist with the contractor OQ verification process
  • Process invoices as they relate to project management
  • Cost control analysis and forecasting
  • Assist with project completion documentation
 
Job Description:
The Field Coordinator performs a variety of duties which include:

  • Assistance with Project Initiation:
    • Provides assistance to assigned Project Managers in the completion of AFE project forms, enters budgeted projects into PowerPlan, develops a project file or job box and oversees the project approval routing process to insure timely approval of projects.
  • Contractual Agreements:
    • Provides assistance to Project Managers with bid preparation and pre-job contract support activities, completes contract/work offer and CT requests, provides assistance with contract change orders, reconciles and processes contract invoices and enters/closes CT verifications.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Reviews, codes and submits invoices into the SAP Accounts Payable system.  Works directly with vendors/contractors to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Cost Control Analysis/Forecasting:
    • Reviews, monitors and analyzes actual results versus O&M and Capital project budgets.  Reviews financial and statistical data to determine reasons for variances to prepare required documentation.  Reviews and analyzes spend and works with Project Managers to develop accurate forecasts for individual projects.  May assist PM with monthly project status reporting.
  • Project Completion Documentation:
    • Communicates completion dates, insures all project costs are reconciled, submits financial completion report information and assists the Project Manager with the completion of as-built completion reports.


Requirements:
 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.  The requirements for this position are:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, mathematics, or additional equivalent related experience.

  • Two to four years of analytical experience, preferably in the gas transmission industry, in cost or budget analysis.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft software.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with all levels of organization.

 
Working Conditions:
 
  • Normal office working conditions.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

  • Occasional visits to settings which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, requiring appropriate personal protective equipment.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work overtime on short notice.

  • Some travel and overnight stay may be required.
