Summary
The focus for the Director – Commercial Operations position is to grow the existing book of customers and to aggressively pursue new business for expansions and new build projects. Seeking a candidate with a proven track record of closing deals as well as a solid Natural Gas network of contacts. Candidates should be capable of travel and negotiation lock downs with customers to close and sign agreements.
The Director – Commercial Operations role will aggressively pursue new business for expansions and new build projects while continuing to grow the existing book of customers of the Energy Transfer Texas and Louisiana Intrastate Assets. Candidates should bring a proven track record of closing deals from their established Natural Gas network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and negotiate transportation agreements with new customers
- Develops business plans to support strategy and growth of the Energy Transfer Intrastate Assets
- Prepares market intelligence and customer analysis
- Tracks and evaluates economic conditions and advises on impact, enabling management decisions
- Lead new customer acquisition
- Establish customer and shareholder-driven financial excellence
- Promotion of Energy Transfer capabilities in the marketplace
- Receives Voice of Customer Input and disseminates it to Commercial executive leadership
- Conduct duties in an ethical manner and model ethics and compliance behaviors for others
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 12+ years of experience in marketing/trading/origination of Natural Gas products
- Proven track record of closing substantial and profitable transportation and storage contracts
- Demonstrates and communicates a complete understanding of the capabilities of Energy Transfer Assets to support the Intrastate business
- Able to think creatively and apply new ideas to overcome objections and barriers
- Works well on a team or as an individual
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and target driven
- Experience influencing indirect reports to achieve business goals and objectives
- Excellent analytical skills
- Proficient computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication skills - English (spoken & written)
