Director - Supply
- Commercial negotiator in multiple markets with refined fuel supply and distribution expertise.
- Embraces accountability for procuring lowest cost products
- Develops, recommends, and implements short and long-term fuel supply and marketing support strategy within area of expertise or defined geographical areas
- Negotiates complex contracts and large volume term deals, including exchanges and rack purchases spanning the United States
- Evaluates regional and global supply/demand balances that affect commercial strategy
- Serves on formal and impromptu cross-functional teams
- Directs multi-functional studies and participates in setting the strategic plan
- Analyzes and generates process improvements for executing profitable commercial transactions
- Guides others on the team on a wide range of activities
- Primary liaison with major customers, suppliers, and an extensive network of industry contacts
- A key negotiator with the management of major customers to resolve difficulties or enhance opportunities
- Maintains and promotes teamwork between multiple organizational functions
- Thoroughly familiar with properties of all commodities in area of responsibility
- Knowledgeable in transportation economics, refinery operations, trading economics, and market intelligence to optimize product slate from alternative sources
- High level of understanding of commercial negotiations, trading principles, and processes
- Seasoned resource providing training to peers or other staff
- Effectively leads cross-functional strategy teams to optimize corporate return
- Seen and recognized by industry contacts as an exemplary Sunoco professional with proficient communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 12+ years total work experience, preferably in the petroleum fuels industry
- Minimum of 3 years experience in commercial sales, trading, or another assignment with outward-facing commercial positions
