Electrical Engineer
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Motor Control and variable frequency drive up through 5kV.
- NEC and API 500. This includes extensive experience in hazardous (classified) locations (Class 1). Knowledge of the Dutch Norms is beneficial but not required.
- PLC, network and HMI systems. More hands-on experience than supervision is preferred but not required.
- Piping and Instrument Diagrams, construction drawings, one-line diagrams, cable schedules, PLC panel layout drawings, loop diagrams, ISA data sheets, etcetera.
- Instrumentation includes pressure, temperature, flow, level, and metering. This includes the use of diaphragm seals.
- Beneficial Experience (but not required): IEC 1131-3 PLC programming ideally with Allen Bradley PLC's; Omni Flow computers; HMI's such as Wonderware, RSView and GE Intellution; V-Sat and networking design and implementation; networks; and Electrical power distribution (12.47-34.5kV).
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The Associate Engineer level requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 0-3 years of relevant job-related experience
- The Engineer level requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 3-6 years of relevant job-related experience
- The Senior Engineer level requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 6-10 years of relevant job-related experience
The Staff Engineer level requires Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 10+ years of relevant job-related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
PE is preferred but not required
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Normal office working conditions and field work
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment will occur.
