Electrical Reliability Specialist
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
· High school diploma required.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
· Minimum 6 years of electrical/instrumentation/controls (EIC) engineering and project management experience in a terminal/pipeline/petrochemical/offshore engineering environment.
· Motor Control and variable frequency drives up through 5kV.
· NEC and API 500. This includes extensive experience in hazardous (classified) locations (Class 1).
· NFPA 70E and 70B knowledge
· Piping and Instrument Diagrams, construction drawings, one-line diagrams, cable schedules, PLC panel layout drawings, loop diagrams, ISA data sheets, etc…
· Instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, level, and metering. This includes the use of diaphragm seals.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
· Electrical power distribution (12.47-34.5kV), power modeling tools (SKM, Etap).
· Predictive and preventative maintenance care plans, and electrical distribution ITPM programs.
· PE is preferred.
Working Conditions:
· The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal office working conditions and field work.
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
· Occasional overnight travel may be required.
· Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment will occur.
