Requirements: Experience, Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering subject area from an accredited college or university.  Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical preferred.
  • 3-6 years of experience developing traditional BI solutions within the Microsoft BI stack (MS SQL Server/SSIS/SSAS/SSRS) and well as experience implementing modern BI Solutions in the MS Azure BI stack.
  • Fluency in MS SQL query language, ability to write stored procedures, views, indexes, etc
  • Ability to identify and implement programing logic and/or application improvements
  • Understanding of cloud and distributed systems principles
  • Knowledge of analytical/programming languages tools (eg. Java, R, Python)

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic understanding of fluid flow in pipelines and/or industry experience such as crude, natural gas, NGL storage or other energy transportation.

Working Conditions:  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  1. Usually, normal office working conditions.
  2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  3. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  4. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
