Executive Protection Specialist
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of executive protection, law enforcement, military, or private security experience, preferably in a corporate or high-profile setting.
- Certifications: Executive Protection Certification (e.g., from Executive Security International, EPI, or ASIS), CPR/AED/First Aid certification required. Defensive driving, firearms training, and tactical medical training are preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong situational awareness and threat assessment capabilities.
- Excellent decision-making under pressure.
- Proficiency in defensive tactics and de-escalation techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to blend into various environments and remain inconspicuous when required.
- Strong situational awareness and threat assessment capabilities.
- Travel & Availability: Ability to travel extensively, often on short notice, including international assignments. Must be available for on-call duty 24/7.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with GPS tracking, surveillance equipment, and communication systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience protecting corporate executives, VIPs, or high-net-worth individuals.
- Background in intelligence gathering, cybersecurity, or risk management.
- Experience in operating in stressful environments.
- Military experience in a combat arms occupational specialty.
- Foreign language proficiency is a plus.
This role is ideal for highly trained security professionals with experience in executive protection who can operate in high-pressure environments while maintaining discretion and professionalism.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5+ years of relevant job related experience
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
