Summary:  Monitor and control various gas pipeline systems while staying in compliance with company and governing policies.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duties satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below: 

  • Monitor and control various natural gas pipeline systems.  Monitor pressures, linepack, receipts and deliveries to maximize operational efficiencies.  
  • Determine system requirements and changes needed to maintain customer receipts and deliveries.  
  • Work with field operations personnel, resolve customer problems and implement outage coordination plans.  
  • Use on the job learned skills to optimize intrastate natural gas pipeline/horsepower systems.  
  • Learn and use SCADA system and real-time pipeline modeling software to analyze and optimize pipeline/horsepower system.  
  • Work directly with the SCADA team to assist with testing and site build out.
  • Learn and utilize the company CRM plan working with management to ensure company policies and procedures are met.

 

Required education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level B requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
 
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Driving, walking, standing frequently
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
    Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
  • The Gas Control team provides 24 hour, 365-day service in a dynamic, high-pressure work environment. 
  • Position requires working 10-hour days subject to 12- hour rotating shift with required overtime on short notice.
