 Summary:  This position is responsible for the accurate reporting of the Liquids pipeline assets. This includes research, modifications and updates to the pipe specifications, pipeline features and pipeline facilities.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Uses ArcGIS to create and edit linear and stationed pipeline route events through database versioning using activity reporters, GPS, and various reports.
  • Researches pipeline historical data such as: materials lists, completion reports, AFE/work order authorization, hydro tests, mill tests and management of change forms.
  • Researches archived hardcopy pipeline asset documentation stored in project boxes and communicates with project managers.
  • Generates alignment sheets for quality control in order keep the integrity of the pipelines.
  • Reads and utilizes drawings, schematics, alignment sheets and detail drawings for pipeline, meter stations, and pump stations.
  • Works with both internal and external customers and in a team environment.
  • Route pipeline and correct data in database based off of legacy alignment sheets, survey books and/or field drawings. Data updates might include: OD, WT Specifications, Grade, SMYS, Coating, Casing, Pipe Crossings and Taps or Tees to laterals
  • Read/match heat numbers from survey books or pipe sheets and match those to MTRs.
  • ·       Complete WOs and/or AFEs that affect the GIS database information
  • ·       Complete Integrity hydro test requests or hydro test work orders including any work orders that have been executed during the hydro test (pipe replacements).
  • ·       Understand and execute the TVC process.
  • ·       Determine whether a work order can be completed based on the information given.
  • ·       Be able to determine Division, Area, Location.
  • ·       Understand Sites: Compressor Stations, M&Rs, valve sites, Launcher/Receiver, Wellhead sites
  • ·       Able to complete a Conversion of Service request
  • ·       Able to complete an Abandonment or Idled Service request
  • ·       Advanced knowledge of vertices/M Values and attributes window
  • ·       Advanced knowledge of Editor tools – Split, Merge, Buffer, Snapping Controls, Create tool

RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements for this position are listed below:

  •      High school diploma or equivalent
  •      Degree in GIS or equivalent work experience.
  •      Minimum of 0-3 years of related pipeline experience.
  •      Knowledge and experience using GIS Software, ArcMap UPDM and ArcCatalog Tools and techniques.
  •      Good computer skills - proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  •      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •      Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  •      Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work 100% in-office.
