Essential Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training Required
• High School Diploma/GED
• At least five years of experience of practical, electrical experience.
• Ability to produce understandable and accurate reports and records
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Is able to examine/analyze equipment for defects
• Uses hand tools, power tools and electronic diagnostic equipment
• Performs preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment
• Is familiar with AC voltage (120-480) three phase and single phase plus 24 VDC
• Is familiar with medium voltage (4160vac) switchgear and VFD’s
• Maintain and adhere to required Company Trainings, Company Policies, and Procedures
• Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills:
• Has operating knowledge in the operations and maintenance of natural gas systems.
• Must have record of very positive work performance, very good safety record, ability to perform work independently, history of being dependable and reliable, good organizational skills, good customer relations
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience with writing programs for DCS
• Computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications preferred
• Work well with others and also be able to perform work independently.
Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:
• Must have good driving record
• Dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment
• Working extended hours as required in emergencies, on projects or outages
• This position will require overtime, weekends, nights, holidays and on call schedule
Physical Requirements
• Standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, frequent heavy lifting over 50 pounds.
• Repetitively standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, frequent lifting of heavy equipment
• Climb ladders up to 25 feet
• Dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment
• Walk on uneven terrain
• Work in hot/cold temperature extremes for long periods of time
