Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties

  • Has ample knowledge of computers and Microsoft office programs.
  • Is able to examine/analyze equipment for defects.
  • Uses hand tools, power tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Must have record of very positive work performance, very good safety record, ability to perform work independently, history of being dependable and reliable, good organizational skills, good customer relations.
  • High School diploma or general equivalency.
  • Some college or technical trade school preferred.
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Has background in natural gas compression and Toshiba variable frequency drives
  • Understands equipment repair manuals; federal, state and local codes and regulations: schematic, wiring diagrams, layouts, codes, standards (incl. company standards and other regulations).
  • Ability to work well with others.
 

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4+ years’ relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Driving, walking, and standing frequently
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
  • Work may involve walking over uneven terrain, bending, moving from ground level to higher levels, and working around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment. Candidate will be subject to DOT drug & alcohol testing requirements
  • Must be willing to work overtime and handle call-outs
  • Outdoor work required with exposure to elements
  • Able to work extended hours & call-outs as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
