SEC Energy is a single-source provider of natural gas compression equipment, parts and services to all segments of the oil & gas industry. SEC capabilities expand beyond tradition manufacturing to further include turnkey engineering services, truck-based service technicians, manufacturer parts, and power generation equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:

  • Works with “Internal Customers” in Field Service, Warehouse and Purchasing.
  • Supports “Internal Customers” via SAP, Job Numbers, BOMs, Work Orders, etc.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and works under limited supervision. A certain degree of creativity and problem solving required.
  • Will report directly to Operations Supervisor regarding oversight of warehouse personnel. Teaching, training and overseeing the day-to-day functions, as well as supervising warehouse personnel on required duties, time management, task prioritization, etc.
  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of warehouse functions to include receiving, stocking, replenishments, special handling and warehouse operations.
  • Receive incoming shipments of supplies from outside vendors; verify accuracy of items and quantities in relation to packing slip
  • Validate receipt of BOL’s & Packing Lists. 
  • Coordinate, assign, return & audit via SAP MIGO
  • Stage, Put-a-way, or Cross-dock Stock and Project stock inventory in warehouse shelves/bins or yard storage – as assigned.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment while always maintaining safety standards
  • Adjust storage space assignments to efficiently manage daily flow of materials.
  • Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for warehousing needs.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Must adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Performs other functions/duties as required.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of specific warehouse and/or industry knowledge.
  • Experience with entry level accounting and inventory software.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP application (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively share knowledge and an in-depth familiarity with inventory product mixes to provide product expertise to customer(s).
  • Must be a team player with integrity, interpersonal, organization and time management skills.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and able to work independently in a fast-paced, high production environment.
  • Ability to examine Production schedules, check inventory levels, identify and communicate changes in the market or demand that may affect availability or pricing of assigned materials categories.
  • Ability to review of compressor application and design, part drawings and work buyers preferred.

 

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Driving, walking, and standing frequently
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
