Minimum Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Eight (8) years’ directly related experience.
  • MBA or other professional certificates/advanced degrees, particularly related to mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or quantitative disciplines are preferred.
  • Energy industry experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Recognized expert in area of specialization.
  • Create, utilize, and analyze complex economic and probability models that require an understanding of the natural gas midstream business (gathering, compression, processing, transportation, etc.), to produce results used by operations to make effective production optimization decisions.
  • Strong quantitative modeling skills.
  • Strong ability to use linear and/or non-linear programming techniques to solve optimization problems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of statistical modeling and simulation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, probabilities, statistical tests etc.)
  • Comprehensive understanding of one or more programming languages (SQL, Python, R etc.) to extract and manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Proficient in computer applications, databases, and reporting software (Excel, Access, Word, VBA, Business Objects, QlikView, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience; ability to recognize, analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to discern data inaccuracies through technical experience and knowledge.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
  • Strong collaboration skills in order to partner effectively across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong organization and process improvement skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities
  • Ability to handle confidential information and material with the highest degree of professional responsibility.
  • Ability to develop network of contacts and partners, as needed.
  • Strong understanding of project management techniques with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously.
