Lead Specialist - IT 3rd Party Application Support
Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science or IT business related, or additional equivalent experience.
- 8+ years related work experience with a record of increasing responsibilities.
- Microsoft SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Management
- Above average troubleshooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills including the ability to positively interface with vendors and contractors, IT, user management, and peers.
- Able to gather and document detailed requirements through customer interviews and systems analysis to qualify and quantify purchased applications or new development projects.
- Good organization skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently while achieving deadlines and effectively communicating project status.
- Be a proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with the ability to quickly assemble the big picture.
- Possess a strong sense of urgency.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including strong technical communications skills to effectively interface with both Operations and IT Personnel. Must be able to translate technical solutions into business solutions.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills including crisis management and resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Gas industry knowledge and experience
Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
1. Usually, normal office working conditions.
2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
3. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
4. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
