Job Description

An experienced compliance professional with strong communication, analytical and process development skills supporting the implementation and continuous development of the company’s Ethics and Compliance Program. Reporting to the Compliance Director, this individual will manage compliance team members, interact with all levels of management, and oversee internal compliance processes and procedures.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the work activities of direct reports, including selection, performance appraisal, and professional development.
  • Direct and oversee investigations into reported violations of regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Supervise the Compliance department’s anti-corruption policies, processes, and controls.
  • Drive the expansion and enhancement of the internal compliance liaison program, including conducting periodic reviews to validate policies, processes, and controls.
  • Lead the organization's compliance risk assessment, gathering and analyzing data to evaluate the impact and probability of risk events.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to develop, write, and edit ethics and compliance training programs, and provide analytics on training effectiveness.
  • Oversee third-party due diligence processes to ensure compliance with sanctions.
  • Spearhead multiple compliance initiatives to identify process improvements and oversee system implementations.
  • Support the development and production of reports on the department’s activities.
  • Manage integration efforts related to merger transactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills (External)

Required Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skill & Competency

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in the area of corporate compliance and/or internal audit  
  • 5+ years of previous management experience preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ethics and compliance concepts, such as the elements of an effective compliance program, standards of conduct, business ethics, best practices, anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, hotline management, and managing compliance related issues.
  • Proven experience effectively researching, writing, and interpreting policies to meet business requirements
  • Proven record of accomplishment of building and maintaining business relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to establish priorities, manage multiple tasks and deliverables with conflicting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including a proven ability to articulate key information in written reports
  • Highly motivated with a team player and collaborative approach to work
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities
  • Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office products
  • The ability to analyze, research, develop, manage, monitor and assess enterprise-wide programs

 

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing
  • Work schedule must be adaptable to business needs
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required, including international travel
