Summary:

The Warehouse Manager position manages a team of Inventory and Warehouse Coordinators in multiple warehouses and across several states.  The position is responsible for ensuring their warehouses are operating in a safe manner at all times, all policies and procedures are adhered to, and that inventory is accurately accounted for and inventory transactions are processed in a timely manner.  The Warehouse Manager position manages a team of Inventory and Warehouse Coordinators in multiple warehouses and across several states.  The position is responsible for ensuring their warehouses are operating in a safe manner at all times, all policies and procedures are adhered to, and that inventory is accurately accounted for and inventory transactions are processed in a timely manner. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees and manages all daily warehouse operations, facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe working environment
  2. Supervises and provides leadership to Inventory Coordinators and Warehouse Coordinators 
  3. Oversees, conducts and reconciles inventory cycle counts, including verification of material certifications on file as required
  4. Assists with evaluating requests to add new items to inventory, including adjustments to minimum/maximum levels and reclassification of inventory as required
  5. Works closely with Operations/Tech Services-Reliability to establish and maintain critical spare parts inventory levels
  6. Works with the Quality Assurance Department to ensure that materials and related documentation meet requirements to be maintained as inventory for use on future projects
  7. Works with Buyers to purchase inventory replenishments and utilize surplus inventory 
  8. Conducts quarterly safety meetings
  9. Assists with loading and unloading of inventory materials as needed
  10. On call 24/7 for emergencies

 

Requirements:  Education and/or experience, knowledge, skills and abilities:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements for this position are listed below:

 

 

  1. Bachelor's degree or additional equivalent experience
  2. 8+ years of related experience
  3. Knowledge of gas pipeline related materials
  4. Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities and deadlines
  5. Excellent organizational and communication skills
  6. Ability to work autonomously
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook
  8. Ability to safely operate a forklift
  9. Ability to lift 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:  Education and/or experience, knowledge, skills and abilities:

1. Associates or Bachelors degree or additional college level courses.

Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  

1. Position will work in and around warehouses and pipe years, along with normal office working conditions

2. Must be able to operate a forklift and lift up to 50 pounds. 

3. Occasional overnight travel may be required. 

4. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
